Fortiffy is the strategic implementing partner of the West Africa Verify Initiative (WAVI).

Government agencies, educational institutions, banks, insurance companies, para-statals, and many other organisations delivering sensitive services, where trust is critical, are on the frontline of this fierce battle. The threats posed by forgery, misrepresentation, document tampering, document counterfeiting, records misplacement, identity abuse etc., are now widely considered strategic risks to the critical operations of many organizations. These risks compromise and undermine multiple points of security, and are corrosive, even fatal, to the reputation of organisations, when system failure becomes public and the consequences of these failures for the public receive negative press.

Consequently, in addition to the adverse impact on business and/or operational performance, the effect of document and identity related fraud goes to the very heart of organisational integrity. Organisations that ignore or marginalises the importance of these risks have suffered an erosion of credibility, goodwill and a withdrawal of public confidence in their ability to discharge their functions to the market or the public.

In light of this situation, the West Africa Veryfy Initiative (WAVI), a software and systems development and innovation cooperative, through the support of the Goldseals Foundation, a fully managed entity of Goldseals LLC, a company based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has now partnered with Fortiffy to enable the deployment of Veryfy-based systems in the region at a cost organisations and agencies can afford.
